A gentle soul has departed, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of many. Ann Regan, born McCarrick, has passed away peacefully at her residence in Killala, surrounded by her loving family. Her journey, though brief, was filled with love and warmth.
Ann, a beloved mother, daughter, and sister, is predeceased by her husband Michael, her parents Mary and Austin, and her infant brother Anthony. She leaves behind a legacy of love and is survived by her sons Michael, Peter, John, and Anthony, and her daughters Siobhán, Gráinne, Áine, and Mary. Her family circle extends further to include sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, and a beautiful brood of grandchildren: Clodagh, Oisín, Séamus, Deirbhile, Orlaithe, Éadaoin, Amyra, Eoin, Michaela, Daragh, and Saoirse. Ann's siblings, Maureen, Evelyn, Veronica, John, and Tommy, along with their extended families, also mourn her loss.
But here's where it gets controversial... Ann's passing has left a void in the community, with many expressing their heartfelt condolences. The outpouring of love and support is a testament to the impact she had on those around her. People from all walks of life, including friends, neighbors, and even strangers, have come together to celebrate her life and offer comfort to her family.
Reposing at Lynn's Funeral Home in Killala on December 27th, Ann's funeral will take place at St. Patrick's Church, followed by burial in Killala Cemetery. The funeral mass can be viewed online, allowing those unable to attend in person to pay their respects.
Family flowers are requested, and donations in lieu are encouraged to support the Mayo/Roscommon Hospice, a cause close to Ann's heart.
