Men’s clothing store in Idaho Falls relocates for third time in its history
The Ferrell's clothing store, a longstanding fixture in Idaho Falls, has moved for the third time in its history. Located near the Grand Teton Mall, the store opened in a new building on Monday, February 4, 2026, at 2261 East 17th Street, marking a significant shift in its operations.
Dana Wright, co-owner of Ferrell's with his wife Teneal, attributed the move to several factors. Firstly, the new location offers a slightly larger sales floor area, providing more space for customers to browse and purchase. Secondly, the reduced back room space at the previous location, which was larger than the sales floor, prompted the move to optimize the store's layout.
Another crucial reason for the relocation is improved accessibility. The new location, with its stop light and multiple entrances and exits, offers a more convenient and efficient shopping experience compared to the previous site on 25th East, where customers often faced challenges with the U-turn and single entrance.
Ferrell's has been a staple for young men preparing for missions with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, known for its sale of men's dress suits. Dana Wright hinted at future suit rentals, a service customers have been requesting, to provide more options.
The Wrights acquired the new building on South 25th East in 2019, after operating for 68 years at 417 West Broadway. Dave Anderson, who opened Ferrell's in 1950, sold the business to Brent Tueller, Teneal's father, in the 1980s. Teneal and her husband bought the business from her father in 2018, continuing the family tradition.
Jayce Powell, a local contractor, purchased the building on Broadway in 2019 and remodeled it. The building was recently sold to Rare Earth Enterprises LLC, owned by Justin and Valerie Miller, who plan to further develop the business.
Dana Wright expressed enthusiasm for the new location, situated between Work Wear House and Bob's Indoor Golf, emphasizing the convenience of having men's stores in the same area. The store will maintain its regular hours, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
As Ferrell's continues its journey, the store's third relocation signifies a commitment to providing a better shopping experience and catering to the needs of its customers in the eastern Idaho business scene.
